Child Protection and Safeguarding
Child Protection
Child Protection and Safeguarding is paramount at ISL
As a school, we prioritise the safety and well-being of all of our students. At ISL, we take very seriously our legal and moral responsibility for keeping our students safe and protected from all forms of harm, neglect or abuse.
By implementing our strong safeguarding policies and procedures, we ensure that we are providing a safe and secure environment for children, aiming to prevent incidents from occurring and responding with the utmost care and responsibility if they do.
At ISL, we adhere to rigorous safeguarding processes, supported by International partners. We provide internationally-recognised training, and achieve the highest levels of compliance, for all ISL staff.
Our safeguarding policy and procedures are in accordance with the recommendations of the International Task Force on Child Protection, endorsed by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Along with comprehensive physical security measures, in the form of Health and safety policies and practices, that protect and care for our students when they are on the school site, ISL implements policies and delivers staff training programs to ensure that students’ emotional needs and psychological well-being are also safeguarded.
